Review
The action is part of a record
Relate the task, human confirmation and observed result. The tool direction is developed alongside a workflow that can be reviewed.
Integration to discuss
Interface, power, mass and control integration need to be agreed and validated for the intended platform and task.
Precision Application
Measure where the material actually settles
Nozzle output and useful coverage are different measurements. Distance, orientation, viscosity and airflow affect where the material settles. Coating research should inspect the target and its surroundings together, including drips, missed areas and the cleaning needed after an interrupted action.
A candidate medium, target coupon, coverage requirement and surrounding materials give the first bench test a clear scope. These help select tubing and containment as well as the nozzle. Use on a flying platform would require a further assessment of airflow and reaction loads.
