Questions worth working on

Questions guide development. Confirmed methods, observations and results will be documented alongside each area.

Questions we are working on

  1. Flight under changing loads

Flight under changing loads How does a change in payload affect the balance and behaviour of the flight platform?

  2. Perception for close interaction

Perception for close interaction What information is needed before approaching a surface or object?

  3. Reliable interchangeable interfaces

Reliable interchangeable interfaces How can a replaceable connection remain inspectable and repeatable?

  4. Traceable task records

Traceable task records What should a record retain to make an action reviewable?

Let a result change the next design decision

A useful research question identifies a decision it could change: the attachment geometry, sensor arrangement, control condition or record format. This connects measurement to design. A result that contradicts the initial idea is still useful when its setup and limitations can be understood.

Each direction separates the question, comparison, measurement and interpretation. External work provides methods and reference points; NOEPRA’s results must come from its own defined trials. Current research pages describe proposed work, with completed records to be added as they become available.
