Precision Trimming

A precise action, in a defined area.

Explore bounded trimming of branches and accessible surfaces.

From the target to the result

The task

An identified target and an approved treatment area.

The intended result

A bounded intervention followed by a visual check.

Keep a decision connected to its evidence

  1. Source evidence

    Files, observations and annotations

  2. Human review

    Advice, comments and decisions

  3. Task record

    History, linked evidence and report

The action is part of a record

Relate the task, human confirmation and observed result. The tool direction is developed alongside a workflow that can be reviewed.

Integration to discuss

Interface, power, mass and control integration need to be agreed and validated for the intended platform and task.

Precision Trimming

Define the cut and the recovery together

A controlled cut depends on how the material is supported and where the severed piece goes. Reaction force and a stalled working end matter as much as the cut itself. Trimming research should retain the before-and-after condition and the recovery from an incomplete action.

A representative material, its thickness, the allowed cut region and a collection method make a useful bench brief. They let us study a small working end before considering a moving platform. A clean-looking concept tool does not establish a safe cutting range or a field service.
