Gentle Harvesting
Handle the harvest with care.
A concept for fruit identification, gentle contact and handover.

Relate the task, human confirmation and observed result. The tool direction is developed alongside a workflow that can be reviewed.
Integration to discuss
Interface, power, mass and control integration need to be agreed and validated for the intended platform and task.
Gentle Harvesting
Judge the fruit after it has been handed over
Separating a fruit is only one part of harvesting. Surface marks, compression in the receiving cup and the final handover can change its condition. Flexible harvesting research therefore needs a defined acceptable result and observations taken after release, not just a successful separation.
The crop, maturity range, stem geometry and available space determine the first test. A greenhouse bench and an outdoor canopy require different access and recovery arrangements. Providing representative fruit and handling criteria helps define a realistic experiment before choosing a carrier.
